Local And Lux Fashion Showcase

Hey friendly readers, the June 11th Local and Lux fashion show was a combination of creativity, beauty, and perfect execution of design. The Local and Lux fashion show was a collaboration between Haberdashery's Ashley Newsome, Kelly Perry an accessory and jewelry designer, and the designers of Satchel. It was held at Mr. Beast Galley, which can be found on 32nd and Bulls St. in Savannah GA. The show invoked three aspects of the fashion world: apparel, jewelry and accessories. Haberdashery showcased unique clothing designs using five live models.




As fashion lovers, family, and friends enjoyed their refreshments, which included fresh fruits, vegetables, crackers, dips, iced tea, and Bourbon punch, they took notices of the three live models that stood on three platforms that were positioned in the center of the gallery. Each model held handbags from Satchel and wore accessories designed by Kelly Perry, which included earrings, hair bows, and even vests.


Every fifty minutes three new looks replaced the previously showcased looks and viewers of the show found themselves having interesting conversations with the models, designers, fellow viewers as well as photographers. Before the night was through, everyone spoke of how well the show was put together and how all of the designs in the show were unique. One of the designers said it perfectly: "All of our designers create things that are so unique and different but its crazy how they all work so well together," and as an intern who is working for Ashley Newsome I felt quite lucky to partake in one of Haberdashery's finest moments!
